The first 2 (and 1/2) days of vaca have been splendid.

1) Thursday after work I went to Epcot and got a henna tat for the wedding. Then I realized I am going to the most white bread wedding of the century. I suppose if it hasn't faded by next Saturday I can have the person doing my makeup cover it as well.
2) Did a little retail therapy. Well, I've been doing a lot of that since Thursday afternoon.
3) ( I went to Star Wars Weekends and all I got was...wait, seriously? Holy Shit. )
4) After Studios, I went home and watched Sound of Music on new DVD and put the DVD collection in the new carry-case-thing. So much less clutter without the DVD boxes. Hooray! (And Hooray for the Sound of Music.)
5) Today, we went to see the Da Vinci Code. Meh. It was fine, but it felt like they must have left a lot out. And I still have no desire to read the book.
6) Went for a pedicure and to get my brows waxed. I have come to the conclusion that getting your eyebrows waxed is like eating at Taco Bell. It sounds like a good idea, then you do it, then you remember why you don't do it, then that knowledge carries you for a few months, then it sounds like a good idea again. It really never is, though.
7) Tomorrow, Flea Market and then some super-packing for the trip on Monday! (Oh, crap.)

But...HEE! Just got my BSG CDs (mini&s1) yea! Now all the other CDs I've bought but haven't listened to can go further down the pile. I might actually wear these two out. And ebay...let's not talk about ebay.

Today was my last 6am day in the near future, and for that, I say thank the gods. As far as I'm concerned, there's only one 5 o'clock per day, and it's in the pm.

I think I'll go see Batman Begins tonight.

BSG. Yay!

My grandfather is in the hospital. He broke his hip after a fall. Okay, he's 89 and has had chronic knee problems since I was a kid...this is not unexpected or unbelievable. What defies logic is that he fell LAST WEEK. He would not let my grandmother call anyone. He stayed on the floor for a week. I don't even know where to go with that. Apparently, the doctors found a blood clot in his knee (most likely the cause of the fall), so it's really good that he finally got to the hospital. But sheesh.

Anyway, I'm kind of standing by, waiting to see if I need to fly home or not. Who knows?

I did about $400 worth of retail therapy today, it would have helped more if the news had come first, but, what do you do?

I forgot how much I like shopping from time to time. And...I did something I've never done before...I bought expensive underwear!!! I have a feeling I might not be able to shop at Wal-Mart for drawls anymore.

I also bought a pair of funky jeans (hope I have the courage to wear them); they're all dirty with a dragon embroidered on them. squee!!! Two dress shirts and a pair of grey dress pants round out the experience. I'm so giddy right now.

So giddy. And The West Wing is actually on tonight.
