The first 2 (and 1/2) days of vaca have been splendid.

1) Thursday after work I went to Epcot and got a henna tat for the wedding. Then I realized I am going to the most white bread wedding of the century. I suppose if it hasn't faded by next Saturday I can have the person doing my makeup cover it as well.
2) Did a little retail therapy. Well, I've been doing a lot of that since Thursday afternoon.
3) I went to Star Wars Weekends and all I got was...wait, seriously? Holy Shit. )
4) After Studios, I went home and watched Sound of Music on new DVD and put the DVD collection in the new carry-case-thing. So much less clutter without the DVD boxes. Hooray! (And Hooray for the Sound of Music.)
5) Today, we went to see the Da Vinci Code. Meh. It was fine, but it felt like they must have left a lot out. And I still have no desire to read the book.
6) Went for a pedicure and to get my brows waxed. I have come to the conclusion that getting your eyebrows waxed is like eating at Taco Bell. It sounds like a good idea, then you do it, then you remember why you don't do it, then that knowledge carries you for a few months, then it sounds like a good idea again. It really never is, though.
7) Tomorrow, Flea Market and then some super-packing for the trip on Monday! (Oh, crap.)
I'm standing in line for Star Wars Weekend somewhat bored.

5 hours and 24 minutes until 18 DAYS OF VACATION, Y'ALL. Like woah! I'm so excited. And Star Wars Weekends starts tomorrow! Any merch requests? Speak now or forever...

That is all.
So. Much. Fun.

We really didn't do all that much. We had that, "we'll be back, we can do it later," attitude. But OMG it was fun. The pictures don't do it justice, unfortunately.

You will look at my Star Wars Weekends pictures... )
Day one Star Wars Weekends rocked...but I am crapped out, so I'll post pics tomorrow.

I will say, the Anakin look alike is about 90% Hayden...I about broke my neck when I saw him out of the corner of my eye.
After I got home at 3:15 from the movie, I found that I had not only a care package from my mother with Star Wars goodies, but also the full season of BSG on DVD was in the mail as well. So I watched 3 episodes, fell asleep at about 6, and woke up at 9 and have been watching BSG ever since. I have 3 more eps to go, then I have to find the time to watch Lost and Alias, go to the movie again at 8:30, and somehow get back to sleep to get to Opening Day Star Wars Weekends tomorrow. EEeeee!!!!!

I think if too much SciFi was bad for you, I'd be in a coma right now.

Last call for Star Wars Weekends merch! Your wish is my command!

And...I love Bail Organa.
Darth Tater is mine!!! Mwa!

If anyone needs anything from Star Wars Weekends, I need to know before Friday, so I can shop. There's some great merch this year (Darth Tater included). Any special birthday requests [ profile] morgaine22?

And, because even though I say I'm not a sheep, I really am:

The Movie Meme:

1) Total no. of movies I own: Just DVDs, where boxed sets=1, 124.

2) Last film I bought: Battlestar Galactica (2003)/The Neverending Story/The Iron Giant

3) Last film I watched: The Iron Giant

4) 5 films I watch a lot or that mean something to me:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (It's not my favorite of the three, but since the moment I bought it, it's been my security blanket.)

The Star Wars Trilogies (I don't need to explain, right?)

The Lord of the Rings (Also, with the no explanation.)

SummerStock (This is my favorite Gene Kelly movie of all time. Yes, that includes An American in Paris and Singin' in the Rain. Because it's about theater.)

Pirates of the Caribbean (Not because it's an awesome movie, which it is, but because it was then I knew it was going to be okay to be in Florida.)

5) 5 people to do this meme: Yeah, no. Do it if you want.
I got my midnight Star Wars tickets! And the vacation to go with, so I'm off for Star Wars Weekends!

I wish I was more excited. Those three exclamation points are really lying. I haven't been excited about anything this week. I think it's because I'm sick, my grandpa's still in the hospital and I'm staring down a crazy work week. Oh well, I'll be excited later.

On another note, am I the only one who didn't really like Wednesday's Alias? Joel Gray just doesn't do it for me as Clone!Slone.

I am currently shoving all the food within arm's reach into my piehole because I have a dentist appt. at 1. The appt is 2 hrs, and who knows when I'll be able to eat after that. Wah. I hate going to the dentist.

And it's raining. Wah.

In SW related news...just found the Star Wars Weekends 2005 poster!!! Wheee! Wonder if I can talk someone into snagging one for me.

Mickey's fighting Vader! Hee! I'll probably end up buying it (even though I don't have room for it).
