Title: Come for Me
Fandom: Harry Potter
Character/Pairing: Ron/Trio
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 350
Time: 15 minutes
The silence that came long ago was now his only company. Ron lay on the edge of the battlefield near the forest, bloody and broken. The sun winked at him through the top of a tree. He tasted blood. He reached up with his left hand, there was a gash from his bottom lip down to the base of his chin. He couldn't sit up, couldn't move - his right leg had been shattered by some spell. He didn't even know which side it had come from - only that he collapsed there, from the pain.
He didn't know how long he had been laying there - only that that battle had moved away, and he was left here, with those who had died for what they believed in. Those from both sides.
A wand. If he could just get his hands on a wand, maybe he could get out of here. He reached as far as he could in all directions, but there was no wand. Above his head, his hand hit something - someone. He wrenched his neck as far as it would go. No, Luna, you're so cold. The sunlight filtered through the trees, cold darkness would soon be at hand. They'll come for me. My loves will come for me.
Ron woke to the white light of a full moon. Where could they be? The battle must be over. The pain overwhelmed him. But he knew they would come.
Ron licked his lips. They were dry, but still tasted of blood. Was it a new day? Was it days from the battle? Why hadn't anyone come for him? Please, Harry, Hermione, come for me.
The same sun that winked at him yesterday - was it yesterday - woke him. But there was something else. Shadow. A tall figure standing over him. Lifting his body as though he was still a boy of six or seven. "Charlie? Is that you?"
"Yes, little brother. I'm getting you home."
"Wait, Harry, Hermione, they should be here, they will come for me. Where are they?"
His older brother did not want to answer. "We don't know."
