...if you're going to use the back roads, know the back roads.
I took the back roads home this afternoon (actually, I was heading to Publix). Now, after the last subdivision, the back roads turn to dirt, which is fine, I own a truck. But I missed a very important turn and ended up in what can only be described as a sand dune. I freaked out, because although where I ended up is still within walking distance of very populous areas, it feels like the middle of nowhere. Spent ammo, trash dumped everywhere and animals of the wild variety. Luckily, a guy I work with has a second job where he drives a heavy truck with a winch. He was at work tonight and not busy. Matt agreed to come and sit with me until Mike got there (because of the aforementioned freak out). And Mike came and saved the day. But as we were leaving, both Matt and I got stuck. So, Mike came back and pulled us both out. I finally got to Publix (3 hours later), we got what we needed and I'm finally back home. OMGYEA!
If I had known that was how the afternoon was going to go, I wouldn't have spent all morning making icons. But I did. 17 new icons!!!! I also (before getting stuck), went to the coinstar machine, because now if you turn in your coins, you can get an amazon.com gift certificate and not have to pay the counting fee. I got all finished, but the thing had a stupid problem and gave me a regular receipt that you have to take to the register. I told them what happened and they gave me the fee back. That was nice.
And, brightening my day even more, I got a beautiful card in the mail from
abigail89. It got hung up at the post office (a little bit of damage), but it came right when I needed it!
So, in conclusion, the right people come into my life when I need them most! Yea for friends!
