Happy Birthday, abigail89 !!!!
May your day be filled with unmeasurable happiness!
BTW, if you haven't read what D wrote about the State of the Union, you're missing out. Love is love.
I have had a great week, so far. On Sunday, we went to Tampa to see Wicked. (Ate at Johnny Carino's before the show...SOGOODOMG.) The show was pretty good. I didn't know anything about it before I saw it. I kind of wish I had at least listened to the soundtrack first, because the guy mixing the mics didn't do a great job. That, and I'm losing my high end hearing. But, visually stunning. Lighting and costumes were awesome. I was a little disappointed in the story because it felt a little rushed to me. There were several things that weren't explained well, IMHO. On the whole, great way to spend an afternoon. After the show we went to International Plaza, but it being Sunday, it closed at 6, so we didn't get to see a whole lot. I wasn't that disappointed. PF Chang's had an hour wait, so we decided to run to check out the Hard Rock Casino. Nothing too special (apart from actually having a casino an hour away), so we came home and crashed. Slept next to a pretty girl. Life is good.
Monday, Matt and I went to Whole Foods. I was complaining on the way that I really didn't know my way around North of the Florida Mall, so we took some side streets, stopped at some antique shops (could've spent at least a grand, omg), lollygagged around and finally made it to WF. It is a pretty small store. I had never been to one. Matt was underwhelmed (he said it was about half the size of his back home. It was okay. Very nice produce. I bought $20 worth of tea. Stopped on the way back at Home Depot because Matt's got a wild hair to redo two of the rooms and wanted to price out some stuff and I needed a blackout blind for my window. We were supposed to hang my new celing fan, but we really couldn't move, so...I went to see Brokeback Mountain with Jen. I'm kind of meh about it. It was good, but I don't know if it was worth all the hype. I love Ang Lee...and it was very him. But, I don't really need to see it again.
Matt got the wireless internet working again, so I have internet on the dinosaur. I thought if I could get my sound card working, I really didn't need to get a new one until next year. But woe, either the sound card is inop or my computer is just crap because it won't recognize the software. I did get the AOL MacAfee virus software downloaded and installed, AFTER 14 HOURS. All this happened yesterday around a lovely trip to the eye doctor. I always feel like I'm taking a very important test during the "which is better, #1 or #2" bit of the exam. My doctor doesn't help. Oh well. He told me that hopefully my vision stops getting worse soon, because Acuvue only makes up to a 12. Thanks, Doc. So I had my eyes dilated, and didn't really feel like going to Publix, so I came home and crashed out. Watched some Season 1 SeaQuest and made a morning mix CD of peppy songs that I'm sure would be totally embarrassing, but I don't care (if anyone wants some peppy music, let me know). Jen came over and we watched the BSG mini...I think I may have hooked her. YAY!
So today, last day of mini-vacation (woe), I'm getting a pedicure, actually going to Publix, going to Epcot to see if I can find a teabox in UK, and going to ASL class. Jen's meeting me after her classes at Valencia and we're going to watch Illuminations. Hopefully I'll have the guts to tell her how I feel.
There should be 4-day weekends every week.
