Drive-by posting...
Nov. 21st, 2007 10:48 pmOkay, so things have been super-crazy here, and I have to be at work at 6, but I just wanted to say a few things.
So,
abigail89 had a damn brilliant idea. And I'm stealing it. It really couldn't be simpler, but I've been thinking about it almost non-stop since I read it. Write down things I'm thankful for. See? Easy-peasy. I'm hoping I can do it everyday until Christmas. We'll see.
For now, we'll start with yesterday. I gave blood and bought new tires yesterday. I'm thankful that I'm healthy enough to donate blood every 56 days and maybe help save a life. Also, that I have the means to buy new tires when I need to.
Today. Sometimes I hate my job. That being said, it could be a lot worse (or I could not have one at all). I was talking to a co-worker this morning and we were commiserating about having to work on Thanksgiving. But, I said, "it could be worse. Every time I think I hate my job, I have to drive past the South Service Area (Where the poo-poo plant is)." So, today I'm thankful for a job that is pretty easy, that I like, that pays my bills, and that (most of the time) is relatively stink-free.
To my American friends, I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving, to my Canadian friends, sorry I'm a month late, and to my international friends, have a wonderful Thursday. I'm thankful for y'all, too.
