It's been a crazy week! [livejournal.com profile] blowdry, [livejournal.com profile] starsfell and I went to Cocoa on Friday to see the launch. Boo for scrubbing. And sunburns. I worked 41 hours Saturday-Monday. Exhaust. Tuesday, I watched some teevee and did some shopping. I bought a kitchen Ninja at Target because it was on sale and I wanted a food processor to make salsa. Didn't go to sleep until about midnight last night and had a YES program this morning. Luckily, the kids were awesome, and that makes it so much easier. Went to lunch with Matt since he's leaving for Hawaii in two weeks. Went back to target to get Glee S1 on sale for $19 and an air popper because I'm jealous of Jay's and [livejournal.com profile] jane_says's. Mine's not vintage, but it does match my kitchen. Came home, and because I was tired and ate way too much Chinese food, I passed out for over two hours.

I've been watching the Royal Wedding ever since. I chose BBCA's coverage, because American coverage was going to make me crazy. I've gotten to the arrival at Buckingham Palace, and have to stop for the day.

THINGS I LOVE ABOUT THIS COVERAGE:
*BBCA not condescending, much like I'm sure all American coverage was. You are expected to know who the Duke of York is and what the slang is. Keep up, Americans.
*British people are hilarious
*The Abbey was so, so beautifully decorated, especially the tomb of the unknown
*Kate's dress, class, and simplicity
*Harry turning to look at Kate then turning to his brother and saying, "Wait until you see her." Melt.
*Mr. Middleton seems like a totally awesome dad, and he wore a top hat. I JUST CAN'T EVEN.
*English kids ARE SO ADORABLE.
*They did a fantastic job of making this wedding accessible to commoners. This could have been the most pretentious event ever. And it wasn't. It was simple, beautiful, and elegant.
*They sang the wrong words to "My Country 'Tis of Thee." Don't hate. I know. It's a joke.
*Also, Harry needs a haircut.

I think I shall go have some salsa and watch the rest of AOTS and then, perhaps, some Return of the Jedi.

For me, that's just implicit in "British people are hilarious."
