Hello from a mile high!

Greetings from Denver (Westminster, actually, but who knows where that is)! Vacation so far has been a blast! Rochester was wonderful, but pretty busy the whole time I was there. So now that I'm in Colorado...I thought I'd let you know what went on!
Monday: Besides being irritated THOROUGHLY by the check-in clerk at the airport (if you tell me you can take a traveler's check, you better damn well be able to give me change for it), everything was smooth. Got to Rochester and had to finish work with NY Matt (he's a manny). It was the best birth control I could ever come up with. Anyway, after he was finished, we went to a restaurant called Aladdin's that was nice whole and organic based foods. Very nice.
Tuesday: Seems to be a little fuzzy. I recall staying with NY Jen for the day (shopping, maybe?) and we went up to her grandparents' cottage by the lake when NY Matt got off work. Stayed the night...it was GORGEOUS up there. Pictures later. We had a fire down on the beach and NY Matt went skinny dipping (for about 15 seconds...it was COLD!!!)
Wednesday: Spent the day at the cabin. WALKED 4.4 MILES...I KNOW! But the payoff was a fantastic view from a little chapel. Relaxed and basically got ready for the whirlwind that would be the rest of the week. Went home and watched Lost (OMGWTF!!!)
Thursday: NY Matt and I went to Niagara Falls. I wish it had been sunny, but whatev. We took the Maid of the Mist up to the falls...again, pictures (hilarious pictures) forthcoming. On our way back to the US, we stopped at the Duty Free! Yay cheap alcohol and chocolate! We hurried to get NY Matt's tux fitted at the dress shop. And then went to dinner at NY Jen's parents' house with her family and NY Matt's Dad and Stepmom.
Friday!: Ran around like chickens with heads cut off. I had to pack for the move to the hotel. We had to get NY Matt's hair cut and I had to go to the store. And we had to meet his cousins to let them in the house. And...and...you get the picture. Rehearsal went off well. Found out I was getting walked down the aisle by Michael, her really cute brother!! Rehersal dinner was great! Then we went to NY Jen's folks' house for after rehersal dinner hilarity. We played dominoes (with rules I've never played before, but...) and I got into a shouting match with one of her brothers because I said I voted for Kerry. Did one JagerBomb. It was my undoing. Anyway, back to the hotel for a really bad night of sleep!
Saturday!!: We had a spa day before the wedding. We got pedicure, manicures, hair and makeup done. I felt like a princess. We ate a little lunch and got into dresses for pictures. Then off to the church!! I'd say the wedding went off without a hitch, and from the bride and groom's perspective it did, but Christina, the maid of honor, tripped while trying to rearrange NY Jen's train, and I TOTALLY DROPPED JEN'S BOUQUET ON IT'S HEAD WHILE THEY WERE LIGHTING THE UNITY CANDLE! Oh, well. Hope they didn't get it on the video. Pictures and then the reception!!! The reception was a blast, even though I knew very few people there. I, along with the bride and groom, got hammered. I stopped counting at 7 drinks...and that was only 3 hours into the reception. There was dancing and general fun. When we got back to the hotel, I had and interesting search for water, as that's all Jen really wanted. But the front desk came through for us!
Sunday: Woke up feeling strangely fine. No hangover at all. I was tired, but didn't feel bad. It was fantastic. I packed for my flight and we went back to the 'rents' house for Brunch! Ate and lounged around until it was time for me to leave. First flight, awful. It was in one of those pack of gum planes to Philadelphia. I was not impressed, and I started feeling not so great. So when I got to Philly, I upgraded to First Class. Score! I paid way too much for the upgrade, but it was worth it. I got plastered in First Class (I didn't have anyone sitting next to me, score again!) and generally loved life. The showed King Kong. Wow. What a bad movie that was pretty good at the same time. Adrien Brody is SO sexy-ugly.
Monday: Went shopping with the fam at Kohl's. Got some nice new duds. We went to dinner at a Japanese place for Christie's birthday and I got to meet her boyfriend (!!!), Bill. I thought I was a dork. That's all we did. :D
Tuesday: Went shopping again! Twice! GOT TO GO TO HOBBY LOBBY!!!!ONE! And various other places that were obviously not as exciting as hobby lobby. After dinner, we went back to Kohl's with our $90 coupon from Monday and bought pajamas. Score.
Wednesday (Today!!): Not much so far. Christie's graduation is today!!! So excited.
Anyway, much love from Colorado. If anyone needs anything from this side of the continent, just let me know.
