2. Sonic is awesome. Just thought you should know.
3. Miami was nice. But I am totally not cool enough to hang in South Beach. And I'm really okay with that. Stayed at the Carlton on Monday night. It was a tiny and old and cool. The whole area we stayed at was art deco and I find that totally rad. Tuesday while Matt was at his conference, I went down to the Lincoln Street Promenade and saw Spider-Man 3. Meh. More in later number points. Walked a LOT. We stayed at the Hotel Astor Tuesday night. IT WAS FANTASTIC. Beautiful room. We think we got upgraded because Matt's a nice guy. Got my Mom's Day cards out! Everyone's in a big hurry there, all honking and bustle. I would think a beach town would be more laid back, but I guess that's where all the movers and shakers are but, bleh. Wednesday, I played on the beach for a while, picked up some shells and had some lunch at Van Dyke. After the conference, we went to Bal Harbor Shops and I held AN EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLAR DRESS IN MY HANDS. Who pays that much for a dress? Yuck. Anyway. Fun was had. But I'm looking forward to the start of June and the Keys.
4. Dear Peter Parker, There is only room in my heart for one emo!Peter, and sadly, your last name isn't Petrelli. Speaking of Heroes, Way to stab you mom in the heart, LITERALLY, dumbass. Also, the whole Petrelli family conference was awesome! Claire's "cool" = win.
5. And here's what lost Spider-Man 3 for me: YOU DON'T FUCKING KILL HARRY! I was totally cool with it until then.
6. You think Katee is a bad-ass now, AICN has spoilers that say she'll be a BAD-ASS in Bionic woman...Emphasis mine:
No sooner do we hear that NBC is taking its new “Bionic Woman” to series than we get this review of the pilot from first-time contributor “Kngiht42.”
It’s a long one, so here’s a few spoilertastic highlights:
* Katie Sackhoff (Kara “Starbuck” Thrace on “Galactica”) plays a (recurring) villain named Sarah.
* Apparently evil Sarah was an early bionic woman whose inferior nanotech implants drove her nuts.
* Crazy Sarah helps create the new bionic woman when she drives a semi into hot bartender Jamie Sommers and her beau, an MD working in a top secret experimental bionics lab.
* Like the Lindsay Wagner version, the new Jamie loses both legs, an arm and an ear. Unlike the earlier Jamie, she also loses an eye.
* Jamie is pressured to use her $40 million in new parts to assist the top secret agency that rebuilt her, but she is not cool with the idea.
* The girl who played “Ann” on “Arrested Development” plays Jamie’s deaf teen sister.
* A Lector-ish character pops up in the pilot, and will also apparently play a role in the series.
Crazy Katee and a deaf character makes me want to see this show OMGNOW.
