...wishing

side_of_zen the happiest of birthdays! My oldest internet buddy and one of my newest! I hope you both had a great day. Also, Happy Earth Day and Happy 10th Anniversary Animal Kingdom.

I've been building furniture all day long and I'm zzzzzzzzzz....I'm back. So, yeah, one more piece to go, then I have to move everything back into my room or storage. And I have to do it all tomorrow. Eep. Then I have 9 days on at work. Weep. I'll post some progress pictures in the morning...or later if I decide caffeine is a good idea.

I am soooooooo tired. I can't even believe I thought I could do this by myself. Luckily, FL Jen and JenN came and helped. And Matt drove to Homo Depot when it became obvious that 2 gallons of Kilz wouldn't be enough.

PROGRESS REPORT TIME:

It's like my own private insane asylum...just add padding!

My ceiling is white now! (thanks to FL Jen...I gave up about halfway through the first coat.)

So, after we finished the base, we got washed up (sort of, I'm still speckled on my legs), I took the girls to dinner, and we went to Universal TO SEE GHOSTBUSTERS ON THE BIG SCREEN. YES. YOU READ THAT RIGHT. It was awesome. Even though I was exhausted. So, I guess I should get started taping off the walls for MORE PAINTING! And, I'm hoping to get some furniture put together today, but I'm not holding my breath.

Oh also, I painted so much yesterday that MY LEFT HAND IS SWOLLEN. You know the meaty part between your thumb and pointer....SWOLLEN. It is freaky.

So, I have the next six days off. But this is no pleasure cruise. I'm emptying my room, painting, putting together the $1600 worth of furniture I bought at Ikea, and filling my room back up. Daunting task, especially since I was up and down all last night. Don't ask. But it was bad. But, here's where I was at 10 AM, and here's where I am now. (Note: If anyone was under the delusion that I am a tidy person, let me dissuade you of that right now.)

I left my desk until last...of course. And the TV. Priorities, folks. I'm leaving the clothes in the closet and covering it, so they don't get painted. And so I don't have to move them (since I don't really have anywhere to put them). So, I'll probably be scarce, unless I need a break and some entertainment!

I just spent $1600 at Ikea. They had all the pieces I wanted. I'm trying hard not to hyperventilate. That is all. Except, I love Uncle BAG.
