WHY DO I HAVE TO GO BACK TO WORK TOMORROW?

So, Monday, Patty and I got up early and went to Ikea (I didn't buy anything)! Some of Patty's friends came over for lunch at our house, but I had to excuse myself, because I guess Ikea wore me out. Her friends left after lunch, and Patty, Karen and I...WENT BACK TO IKEA. Two Ikea trips in one day...legendary. (I didn't buy anything the second time either!!!) Then we went to Beach for ice cream and drinks! Jennie invited me to go apartment hunting with them the next day to a place I was going to look at anyway, so yay!

Tuesday, early, Patty, Karen and I went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Patty got on the road and Karen and I went back to my place. Then I went to Camden with Jennie and Keith. They both signed pre-leases and I got some food for thought. Not really where I want to live, but a really nice place with friends close. We ate at Sweet Tomatoes and then Keith and I went to Michael's and Target after Jennie went to work.

I got up early today and rode six miles. Woo. Came home and got the laundry going. Went to the Post Office, took some stuff to the storage unit, and went to Cracker Barrel for lunch (IDK, I really wanted Chicken Pot Pie). Packed some stuff. Watch some West Wing. Wrapped Julie's birthday present. Went back to storage unit with a few more things. Went to DTD to get the last piece of Julie's present. Put all of my jewelry supplies in the storage cabinets. Am exhausted.

THEN TO FIND OUT ALEX GOT HURT!!! WHYYYYY!!!! NOOOOOOO!!! deep breaths.
I SPENT $260 AT IKEA TODAY! I BOUGHT MY NEW DINNERWARE! I'm very excited. I bought a very simple beige set. Twelve three piece setting, plus 6 teacups and saucers, 6 coffee mugs (yeah, they're different), 6 oversized bowls, two round serving plates two square serving plates and a Japanese dinner and serving set for two. It amazes me that they make all this in like eight different countries, but it all somehow matches. Also, some storage bins for moving. And lingonberry juice boxes! Found more furniture ideas...changed my mind on the couch...need Ikea gift certificates for Christmas and Birthday. I'm going to have to go elsewhere for the silverware...they don't really have anything I like.

Also, I bought [livejournal.com profile] starsfell's birthday present (I pretty much just gave it away...act surprised, please). I think I know which pop star I'll be going to her party as...but it's a surprise.

I survived yesterday, just barely...I ended up working from 6:30a-12:45a. So next week will be a nice paycheck.

I am becoming increasingly excited about the number of people that will be here in the next 5 weeks.

HP trailer!!! I wonder if [livejournal.com profile] hp_reads is going to do a re-read before November. I definitely need to read DH again.

I don't have anything else to report!

I'm "happy" to report that I'm doing much better than my last post. I'm finally getting over my cold. I'm still exhausted emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Thank God for good friends with cool heads. I had lunch with Alex on Monday. She told me many, many things. All of which I needed to hear. Most especially, that it's not my fault. I went to KSC with [livejournal.com profile] starsfell on Tuesday, and she, of course, soothes my soul in a way I can't describe. [WHO SAYS BEING A GQMF DOESN'T HAVE IT'S PERKS?]

I'm now looking forward to living alone. Buying a ridiculous amount of home goods from IKEA. And many other things (not the least of which, running the dishwasher when I want).

I'm not looking forward to packing. Finding eight years of belongings in mingled places. Of finding an apartment. Of moving. Of being alone.

Yes, I know I'm not alone.

I'm still very upset. But not at having to move. I'm upset at losing my best friend, even though we still live in the same house.

I know I will be okay. I know a lot of things can happen in a year. It still doesn't really feel like it right now.
